As we start 2013, I reflect on this year and think back on the many blessings God has given me and the wonderful people in my life. I think of the opportunities we all have been given to reach our generation and how many times we have chosen the distracted path, content to stay glued to the TV and focused on what we can get. If I have one thought for 2013, it’s this: enough is enough.
There is no more time for playing games when millions of souls lie in the balance. There is no more time for caring more what others think than what God thinks.
It is our time as Christians to rise up and say “We are children of God. We will not sit back and let the world wander aimlessly without Christ. Through the power of God, we will not stop until everyone has heard that God loves them and wants a relationship with them.”
What is it going to take for us to come together and do whatever it takes to reach our world? Do we really care about them more than we care about how we look or what kind of car we drive or what movie is playing in theaters? What pleasures are willing to give up to really get serious about our one true mission: making disciples?
I admire the work that has already been done by many faithful men and women of God in fulfilling the Great Commission. This is not about downplaying the importance of what has already been done; this is about calling to action the millions of so-called believers content to sit on the fence between God’s camp and the enemy’s. There is no middle ground. You are either all in or all out. 2013 is the year of decision for many; who will you serve?
Now is our time. This is our faith; He is our King. We will be willing to take the hard steps and even willing to die. Anything less than our best is not good enough. The earth is the Lord’s and the fulness thereof. I will not, as a child of the most High God, sit back and let the devil steal my generation. We are at war. And we can win; we must win.
Will we be looking back at the year 2013 this time next year wishing we had done more? I say let’s win this thing; enough is enough.
